Houston just recalled Gary from the G League. He'd played 3 games for Rio Grande.

Weird. No stats for him on RGV site.

Gary had a great game last night. It seems Faried is injured because Gary in the win against the Heat last night logged 32 minutes shot 5 of 9 from the field for 14 points (including 3 of 7 from deep) with 5 rebounds and 0 turnovers. I bet he might be a little sore today, the last few games he has barely even stepped onto the court. This has to be good for his confidence and for the team to see his potential.

Faried didn't dress last night, so Gary got nearly 11 minutes with an interesting stat line - no shots, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks and steals, with a +/- of +17.

They've got Gary bouncing around. Started for Rio Grande Valley last night in the G-League

Gary Clark sighting last night. 3 minutes, 1 Def Rebound

On the surface, I guess this is good. Not too many un-drafted rookies get minutes in a playoff game. Looking forward to see what next year might look like for him.

Clark is back up with the big club and getting minutes right now. He posted this line vs. SAC last night.

Gary has been waived by the Rockets. He's been up and down between the big club and the Rio Grande Vipers this season after signing a full contract. The Rockets may still bring him back but wanted to look at options for the roster spot.

I thought Gary has played decent, considering the minutes the Rockets were giving him.... One thing Iv'e noticed between Gary and Jacob Evans... Neither seem to go all out, like other bench players on their respective teams... Hopefully Gary gets another shot!

Something I didn't know about this... Gary has to clear waivers before Houston can bring him back. I'm going to bet he doesn't clear waivers.

This will be interesting as the backstory appears to be Houston does not want to lose him. Probably get more playing time in Orlando, but Houston needs guys to rebound and play D.

From what I understand, Houston waived Gary with the intent to bring him back under a non gauranteed contract. He was due his guaranteed payment shortly and the club was trying to stay under the luxury tax amount. They had every intent in resigning him if he cleared waivers.

Slam Magazine is saying that he actually did clear waivers and then signed a 10 day with Orlando. After the 10 day if the Magic don't resign him, Houston probably will unless they fill the spot elsewhere. The Magic seem to be a better fit for him at least temporarily because both of the Magic frontcourt starters are down with injuries.
