I fondly recall Butch's radio speech when he was announced as Bk's replacement. His passion for family and family values, both building men of character and men with good moral values. I can see where he may have misplaced passion for family values with devotion to the team. I believe Butch said these things and will pay the price with his job. I don't believe Butch meant to say those things in that context nor did he have all of the information when he made his comments. Sadly, he made comments without getting all of the facts and those comments hurt the individual, were harmful to women in general, and put Butch in a bad light. He will pay the price for opening his mouth too soon and it's right he pay that price because any person in that position should seek to understand and work to calm down everyone (not allay blame or accusations).

Sadly, there is need for such a position as liason between the Knoxville PD and the UT Football Team. I could almost understand if that position was university wide. Otherwise, I'd expect that to be one of about 20 duties of a PR person.
