Lou Banks...my original favorite Bearcat! As a kid, he was really the first Bearcat I remember watching and I loved watching him play.

KOCH: Banks proud of journey to Hall of Fame
Banks showed why he had been so highly regarded. During the four years that he played for the Bearcats - from 1987 to 1991 - the 6-foot-5 guard-forward averaged 13.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He was the team captain his last two years and a two-time all-Metro Conference selection.

Banks, 47, was inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame on Wednesday night, making him the first player from the Yates coaching era (1983-1989) to be inducted into the Hall.

I remember the announcer at the Armory Fieldhouse introducing Banks. He would relly draw out his first name: Loooooouis BANKS! And the fans would go wild.
...a fountain of eternal youth, a tower of strength, a rock of truth...
