An interesting tidbit from the SMU article was mentioning being located in the heart of Dallas would help NIL opportunities. With the exception of Miami Hurricanes and Washington Huskies (essentially Seattle), few college programs thrive in NFL cities. I can see where these bigger cities would offer more marketing opportunities. Could benefit us, as well as Pitt, SMU, Cougars, SD St, Northwestern, Vandy, S Fla, or others.

UCF takes Boise St tonight on ESPN. As much as I dislike UCF, it would better for UC and the AAC if UCF won this one. Both schools have new coaches. It’ll be interesting to see what Malzahn’s offense looks like.

We see why it is good for us to get out of the AAC. Tulsa loses to UC Davis, an FCS school. South Florida gets crushed by NC State. East Carolina loses by two touchdowns to Appalachian State. If Rutgers and Temple wouldn't have been postponed, then Temple would have gotten killed by them.

Tulane gave #2 Oklahoma all they could handle and almost pulled off a huge upset

Here's the week 0/1 Scoreboard for the AAC. Temple, Tulsa, Navy, ECU and USF appear to be absolutely horrid so far.

The two that got away from the conference were Tulane and Houston. Those would have been really good wins.

Edsall just announced his retirement at the end of the season per school release. This might be the end of football at UConn

Say a prayer for Lou Spanos. He's the UConn interim HC. He ain't got a chance.
