Major upgrade in the works for the football locker room and football facilities. Kudos to Justin WIlliams for getting this on an open records request.

There appears to be some shortcomings the fundraising side of this project which has led to scope being scaled back. This is leading people to scream about the fundraising tactics of the dept. I don't really have an opinion on it honestly over than to say the football program deserves the locker room remodel, based on performance, and a permanent indoor facility when we can get that done. The locker room has not been redone since 2006 and needs it. However, getting into an arms race with P5 schools with better TV contracts is probably not really prudent considering what the Athletic Dept. budget is going to look like after fiscal 2021.
I'd be shocked if the did the locker room with anything other than private donations. The screaming that I'm seeing is that the smaller UCATS donors have not been approached on this as of yet. I can personally confirm that but that's really all I have to say about it right now.
