  • 16,000 at UCF?

UCF is allowing in around 16,000 fans for their game against Tulsa this evening. Coach Fickel said the lack of fans has has effected UC player energy. Why are UC officials not allowing 10,000 people in, or a perhaps a smaller but safe number?

I've been told the big concern with Nippert is it's central location on the campus. Having been to Ucf the football stadium is on the outskirts of the campus itself. The concern is bringing a lot of folks into the center of campus while school is in session. Fwiw.

The Florida Governor has opened everything up at this point. Without getting into the politics realm, let's just say that his decision to do this is not supported by science. Might be intreesting to watch to the COVID numbers on UCF's campus in 2-3 weeks.

We are expecting to have allotment of fans from the state for the Houston game on 11/7 for sure and possibly for Memphis. No official annoucement from any party yet.

Note: the previous version of this post was wrong. I posted the Bengals numbers by mistake.
