The Cats get to walk into a hornets nest in two weeks.
Tulsa has two huge, and fast RBs. Is it that they are that good, are UCF was greatly overrated?

I think the answer is yes on both. I didn't catch last night's game but Tulsa's other game was also against a #11 ranked team, OK St., and they kept it close in a loss at 16-7 in Stillwater.

Re: UCF, Despite walking all over ECU in the first game they played , they looked terrible for significant stretches of the game and probably only scored as many points as they did because ECU turned the ball over eight gazillion times. We've also seen that ECU is UConn level garbage this season.

UC and Tulsa both have a bye this week. It'll be our first road game and Tulsa's first home game. I like UC's chances if we can put up some points. Giving Marcus Freeman 2 weeks to prepare is like a Christmas gift.

Just wanted to point out that the Dallas Police ejected the entire SMU student section yesterday because they weren't following COVID guiidelines. You'll be able to tell why from the picture.

Geez that Tulsa 'D' looks stingy...must be good coaching and development at Tulsa because recruiting has been so-so per 24/7 Sports...did they get any transfers from big name schools?

Both. UCF lost a lot of depth with 10 players opting out. It's hard to maintain high level performance when you can't rotate folks in/out to keep them fresh.

Tulsa is vastly improved on defense. I didn't watch them at all last year (had another commitment -was the only home game missed). On offense, they are run first and run second, then maybe pass or run. Their RB's have been able to shoulder the load.

Something to keep an eye on for 3 weeks out is that SMU lost Reggie Roberson jr. to a leg injury for an undetermined amount of time. When he left the game against Memphis he had 5 catches for 243 yards.

Im slacking badly on this thread but there's a football game tonight. Tulane, 2-1, at Houston, who is finally getting to play a game, maybe.

Here's the rest of the bye week scoreboard. Little thin this week.

After turning it over three times early, including two howlers by the UH QB, Tune (one pick-6 and a strip sack TD), the Cougars have gotten back into the game late in the second. Tulane now clings to a 24-21 lead.

UH really force the action on offense. They have taken shot after shot after shot deep.

Houston's offense is for real. Tulane's defense is not. 49-31 Tulane.

That was Houston 49-31. When they stopped turning it over, the Cougars blew their doors off. Two of TU’s TDs were by the D. A 3rd followed shortly after a UH fumble.

Navy held off Temple in Annapolis, 31-29, with an Owls' two-point conversion pass knocked away at the goal line in the final minute +.

USF couldn't keep up with ECU and fell at home, 44-24.

Based on their first 2 games ECU appeared to be terrible - but they beat USF by 20, versus our 21, and they did it at USF. What does that say about us?, Especially our offense? ND & ECU put a combined 96 on the Bulls, averaging 48, almost double our offensive production score wise.
