  • 2019 College Football Playoffs - Illuminerdski Edition

So just for fun, I put together a college football playoff for this year if it was operated the way I wanted. In short, all 10 conference champions are in with 2 At - Large teams included. Rankings for me are based on the Sagarin rankings, I don't care for popularity contests. 4 highest ranked teams get a bye.

After that, you have conference division champions playing in bowl games with some at large teams filling out the bracket for those making it to the playoffs. Games would be played by rankings. So the two highest ranked teams play a game, then the next two and so on. Games would be staggered between week 1 and 3 or the playoffs.

Notre Dame would either be solo, or could represent the ACC. I guess that would be up to them. Notre Dame always has to be a problem.

Then there would be a 1 or 2 more representative from each conference to represent them in other bowl games.

I know, it would never happen.
