The D line was not expected to be this good, at least not this early. It seems to me that the backups last year pushed themselves to meet the high expectations of the 3 seniors. It's great trickle down effect when a position group keeps improving year after year. Kudos to the coach and players.

Pitts is the key. When he's active and on it, they are very good. He's hard to block with one guy. The rest of the group seems to feed off his success or failure. For a kid who was a 2 star recruit, it shows the lack of precision in those stars. He's a very, very good football player and athlete. He was actually a Robert Prunty, TT recruit.Last edited by coach; 09-29-2019, 09:57 PM.

If you have subscription or free reads on app, this is a good read on how Coach LF is setting the tone and changing the culture. Even if LF wins big again this year and is offered a paycheck too big for UC to match, many of these things will stick. No question Luke was the right man to come in after TT.Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.
