Josh Whyle played quite a bit Friday night. He split out into the slot almost every snap & wasn't used as a traditional TE.

Are we sure that Bush has been in 3 games? The announcers on TV were saying he had no stats whatsoever prior to ECU.

What about Malik Vann?

Announcers say a lot of things; earlier this season we heard one say UC "calls Warren the truck driver". In their defense here, even though Bush played in three games previously he did have zero stats other than participation. He took care of that Friday..

Malik Vann has played in 12 games; the original question was for those Freshman still eligible for a red shirt.

BTW, the unofficial stats I provided were through 11 games, but they still provided a good picture of which frosh players were still eligible for a red shirt.

Anyone seen Metz on the sideline or on campus? Is he a legit 6'9?

Thank you for the thoughts and info ... looks like a few guys got some experience. Some of the young OL and DL will be needed next season.

I was trying to find an article I read earlier from training camp but couldn't find it. It basically said YES Metz is a legit 6'9. The guy is huge and has the frame to go with the height. He is going to be a beast on the line. I just hope his footwork and hands are good so he can be effective in the pass block.

After the game on Friday, I'm really hopeful for Arquan Bush. He had a great game, stat wise. I wasn't paying attention to his coverage throughout the game, but 2 picks and a fumble recovery means he's getting good positioning.
