Persistence pays off. Metayer was one of the first guys we offered in this class. Played WR and OLB in HS. He will be in the TE corps here. He’s listed at 6’5 200.

Metayer was originally committed to the U early in the cycle. Not sure what happened there.

Big pickup here. Was definitely on Freeman’s hot list. Turned down WVU and Pitt to stay home.

Yep, another excellent athlete on the D side of the ball. Look forward to watching him play.

Lawton was a major staff target and has committed tonight after the game.

Big Strong Safety from the Volunteer state has committed this morning. He also played at WR in HS so he should have good hands. He's recruited as a defender here. Services show him with a very long offer list including Arizona St, BC, and Arkansas.

Yeah, he was really heavy on WV for a long time. Nice job to flip him to UC. We were on him for a long time.

Yes we were and it probably didn't hurt to offer his brother for 2023

Jowon is a Walnut Hills alum and 4 star rated DT that just showed up in the transfer portal. He's leaving UVA.

Briggs graduated from Walnut in 2019, with 247sports.com ranking him as the #2 player in Ohio. His offer sheet was chock full of power programs, including UC. This would be a huge get, if he's interested. Unless there's some unknown red flag, I can't imagine that Fickell would brush him off.

Man i'd love to see this coaching staff get a shot with him. Smart and athletic kid and we lose interior linemen this year. Probably a good chance he'd get eligibility returning home. Seeing our dline development he'd be a great add.

With the NCAA on the verge of allowing one-time transfers without penalty, Briggs most likely will be eligible no matter where he lands.
