Ethan Wright committed this morning. He was formerly committed to Duke and opted to stay home. Wright was a nominee for Mr. Ohio in football.

he looks to be the heir apparent as a power running back. Stands 6’1 at 190 and will undoubtedly put on some muscle weight in strength training.

Looks like he will be an early enrollee. I don't have the stats now, but it looks like he ranks near the top in OHSAA records for TD, rushing yards and rushing TDs.

Yeah, he was rated a 3 star on the services and it sounds like he might be undervalued at that rating based on his stats.

Akron Manchester is a D5 school (out of 7 divisions), making it a smaller school. The Panthers made the playoffs & lost in the regional finals to unbeaten Kirtland.

Perry is out of St. Francis HS in Toledo. He’s currently at San Mateo College in California. He seems to be indicating that he is committing to UC on his Twitter yesterday.

JuCos do not participate in NSD do he would be signing grant in aid soon if he hasn’t already done so.

Big pick up here. Needed bodies at WR for sure. He's one of the better ones in the state as Coach mentioned in the 2020 thread. Had offers from Toledo and WV and interest in Sparty and tOSU.

Blevins is a Preferred Walk On for 2020. Can play multiple positions on the line

Megois is a preferred walk on for 2020 at the WR position.

Other than being on the being on the team and known as a pwo what is the benefit - there's no scholarship money, right? Would there be a difference between being a walk-on who makes the team and a "PWO"?

You're first in line if a scholarship becomes available due to player attrition or effort/skill warrants it. That's the best way I can describe it. You don't count toward the roster limit that way. You can have an infinite number of walk ons but there's an NCAA limit on the amount of scholarship players the team can carry.

Glad we got him. He was someone I was looking to round out this class. A lean 6'2" with some talent.

Kids like this have huge hearts and play with a chip on their shoulders. Their motors never quit because they make their own talent. Having a PWO playing his ***** off in every practice, trying to earn a scholarship, sets the bar higher when talking about the team work effort. It used to be there aren't scholarships in what was Division III. Are there scholarships in the FCS level? Maybe the kids want a particular major that is really good at UC. Can't answer what is "in it" for the kid, but a huge win for the program.
