Oh good we can just have UNLV play Tulane every week and get rid of that problem.

Good grief. Can we please get an invite to the ACC or BigXII?

This kind of reminds me of one of those scenes in some cheesy medical drama where a doctor refuses to give up on resuscitating a patient even though they are long gone.

        Call it. What's the time?

Why not invite all schools outside of the big 5. Have a conference playoff for that sixth BCS spot. The kicker is that since there will be so many schools in the conference that none will have to play out of conference games. Thus leading to the big 5 conferences not having anyone to play except for each other. None of those schools will go undefeated thus allowing the Number 6 conference champ to play for the NC. (Yes, this is sarcasm).

It is interesting how the BEast is approaching this. On one hand I like it, because they are trying to secure all the biggest teams not in a power conference, which could make it hard for some leagues to expand. The only issue, is how do you make that team stay in the conference when a big dog comes calling...

That's the problem. You can actually make a good conference out of the leftovers. One that would be on par, if not better than the ACC except without some of the tradition. Many of the teams will be able to up the calibur of their recruiting, and it should, in 2-4 years become some exciting football.

The issue with many of these teams, as well is UC is fan support. If you can get these teams together, and have them buy into the new conference, come out and support the teams, you will build a nice brand of football. Will it be the SEC or Big 10? Nope, but could it rival the ACC? Absolutely. I would also argue that the Big 12 is really nothing special outside Texas and Oklahoma.
