  • Chris Vogt & Keith Williams

Chris Vogt just announced he’s returning for his Senior season. Keith has a little less than 2 weeks to make a decision.

Hopefully for both the players and fans there is a season!

IF Keith can get drafted, even in second round, it may be worth it to stay in the draft. I know this goes against conventional wisdom, but in the "Time of COVID", being on a roster and developing may be best with so much uncertainty in the future. Any other time, I say come back. Keith will be "the guy" on this team, and should be able to higly improve his draft stock IF there is a college season. That is a big IF this year and we won't know within the next two weeks.

So as we have been saying, he should come back unless an overseas deal is too good to pass up or his personal financial demands dictate the move, as the NBA is not an option this year.

According to this report from Adam Zagoria, Keith Williams was not among the 105 players being considered for 60-70 NBA Draft Combine spots. https://www.zagsblog.com/2020/07/27/...ayers-invited/

He's our best player, this years leader, POY candidate, and a tremendous addition. But 9796 is right, everything is clouded by the virus and its potential impact. Its hard to stay emotionally at a fever pitch when things are in such doubt. Lets hope for the best but his return is awesome news.

Now the attention turns to DDJ waiver.

Here's a good piece by Justin Williams of The Athletic ($) on Keith Williams' return:

I wouldn't count on this, unless the NCAA just throws up its hands and says open transfers are only a year away anyway so why not.
