Temple is currently up at the half against #5 Maryland 34-29. That's a neutral court game in Orlando.

Memphis nearly blew a 20-point second half lead to NC State, but hung on for an 83-78 win in Brooklyn.

UCF was in a tight game all night against Penn, but lost, 68-67, when a Knights' shot, originally ruled a tying trey, was overturned as a deuce at the horn.

UConn lost one to IU last night on a neutral court. Temple absolutely hammered St Joe's.

Monday night, Wichita ST took down OK St. in Stillwater. Hopuston beat South Carolina at USC. Tulane lost on a neutral court to SLU (8-1).

I watched UConn. Vital and Gilbert really struggled. Junior big man Josh Carlton had an overall nice game. Impressed by freshman Akok Akok - reminded me of some of the Calhoun, Ollie bigs - had five blocked shots (three within the first four minutes) and showed a lot of upside. Made some nice plays on offense too, including an impressive dunk off an inbounds play.

Will be a good test for UC on January 1. Feel like UConn is going to be in just about every game, but season will hinge on how they fare in the close ones. The only other time I've seen them was the 2OT loss to X.

OK so this weekend we have some good OOC games.

Memphis @ Tenn. This is a Scouting central game for us. 3:00 ESPN

Oklahoma @ Wichita St. Will be interesting to see how good WSU is on ther home floor against good competition 6:00 ESPN2

Tulsa is going to Arkansas which doesn't sound like much except both teams have a better record than we do.

Memphis just broke Tennessee's 31-game home win streak, 51-47. The Vols are going to be an irate bunch when they enter 5th/3rd Wednesday night.

The Memphis Tennessee game was the sloppiest college basketball game I've seen in a long time. Neither team has any clue how to run a half court offense. It was run, run, hoist, miss all game long. Thought I was watching an AAU game. Looked like both teams bought into the old Huggins philosophpy of throw it at the hoop and rebound the miss as an offensive strategy

Yep, which raises the question about the 2 games he played in. If he was never eligiible top begin do they forfeit/vacate those games and what happens to Penny and the school as a result.

Tulane lost a neutral court game to Akron last night. Akron is 9-2 though so not as bad as it sounds. SMU lost to Georgia in Athens in double OT
