    Basketball Media Day will be Oct 14 in Philly. Not sure why it’s in Philadelphia but it’s interesting that it’s not in Providence or Dallas.

    Things you may have missed since we had a glitch this morning.

    Jarron Cumberland unanimous pick for Pre Season AAC player of the year.

    Bearcats were picked to finish 3rd in the league race per the Head Coaches. Voting was as follows.


    2019-20 American Athletic Conference Preseason Poll and Honors
    T-1 Houston (7) 113
    T-1 Memphis (4) 113
    3 Cincinnati (1) 94
    4 Wichita State 88
    5 USF 79
    6 UConn 75
    7 Temple 72
    8 SMU 47
    9 UCF 40
    10 Tulsa 36
    11 ECU 20
    12 Tulane 15

    Cumberland is the only player from UC on the preseason teams.

      Seriously, is there some reason that ECU and Tulsa are in this conference?

        It's nice to see JC get some nice light shined on him nationally. He a quiet guy, but clearly the league has a lot of respect for him.. Well deserved. He's earned it.

          Even divisions in football at least until UConn leaves at the end of June. Then they're won't be a reason. Although if you kicked one out in football for a round number of 10 post Huskies, I'd opt for Tulsa. I'm sure the Mountain West would consider them.
