      Thank you, Grey Shirting is what I'm thinking of....and considering BJ Grove had some potential, he basically ate himself out of playing time....I would have chose this route instead....

      A grey shirt is an incoming college freshman who postpones his enrollment in classes until the second term of his freshman year. This means they don't take classes until the winter term. The NCAA allows college athletes five years to complete four years of eligibility after initial enrollment.

        I've rarely if ever seen a grey shirt in basketball. Usually a football thing. Tuberville tried to do it a bunch of Butch Jones' recruits when he came on board.
