The UConn games that are being vacated because of this NCAA infractions case include ALL games from the 2016-17 and the 2017-18 seasons.

I for one am disappointed they didn't vacate their NC from 2014 but oh well.

Gotta love the NCAA and the arbitrary manner in which they arrive at penalties. Kevin Ollie gets a 3 year show cause while his predecessor at UConn, Jim Calhoun, got a 3 game suspension back in 2011 for far more serious violations (see article below). Under Calhoun, the NCAA found that UConn committed 8 MAJOR violations in 2010, including hundreds of impermissible calls, texts, and benefits to recruits. Worst of all, 2 of Calhoun’s assistants were charged with providing false and misleading information to NCAA investigators. But Calhoun was spared the same treatment that Ollie got.

Ollie's unlikely to win his lawsuit against UConn but he does have a point in the unequal treatment by the University. Diffierent NCAA rules and different Adminstrations proably had something to do it with it but it's hard to say how much.

The Ncaa situation relative to coach's lawsuits is a slippery slope. I wouldn't rule anything out in that case unless Uconn settles it which seems less and less likely a possibility. Here was one close to us which has an interesting result:

I'm no fan of tO$U, but if the NCAA is still considering penalizing the Buckeyes for violations under Jim O'Brien, who was fired 15 years ago, that's ridiculous.

No, that's an old lawsuit that went one way for ncaa purposes and the other way for the coaches purposes. He still won the suit.

And, the first "shoe" has dropped: NC State and Mark Gottfried, now at Cal State Northridge, cited for Level 1 violations pertaining to impermissible benefits:
