I'm going to open one large thread for discussing the conference teams for basketball season. Games happen on so many different nights it's hard to do a weekly thread on it.

ECU with the loss to UNCW last night. and one each to James Madison and High Point and somehow aren't in last place in the AAC right now.

Wichita St has a loss to LA Tech on the resume'. Also, one to Davidson

SMU has a home loss to Southern Miss and one to Lipscomb and Bradley

UCF laid an egg at home against FAU.

Temple has a loss at VCU

Tulsa has a loss to Southern Illinois

South Florida with a bad loss to Citadel

Memphis seems to be be beating the people they should beat with the exception of Charleston (who's good) but they're 3-3 with a loss at ranked LSU and one to OK St.

Uconn appears to have righted the ship under Hurley. They are 6-1 with a loss to Iowa and a win over ranked Syracuse

Tulane is pulling up the rear in the conference with losses to UC Irvine and Louisiana (Not LSU)

Houston is doing what Houston should be doing.

So you're saying the AAC kinda sucks so far? The biggest threat to the Bearcats in conference this year is........The Bearcats! If we clean up our own business we should win it again, although the Big Tacco always gives us fits.

This is just plain awful! I know ECU came in for football - but they suck at that - if Tulsa & Wichita aren't a basketball plus then who needs them? Wow - if I thought for one moment we could survive as an independent I'd root for that. We really have been screwed!!!

Houston took down #18 Oregon in the opening of the Fertitta Center last night.

Memphis loses at home to #20 Texas Tech

Tulane with a bad loss to SE LA

Weird one of the day was Wichita State over Baylor. 44-15 WSU at the half and they almost surrendered the lead.

Uconn has Arizona in Hartford today.

UCF is at Missouri as well

UCF with the unecessary road loss to MIsssouri. Led at half time and went to OT. Tacko Fall with 6 blocks but only 6 points and 4 Rebs

UCF wilted in the final few seconds. Mizzou pressed hard and the Knights folded.

Aside from the UC - X game today, there are a couple intriguing American games:
#11 Florida State at UConn, with the Huskies playing better this year, it'll be interesting to see how they handle a ranked team at home
#16 Kanas St @ Tulsa, Tulsa has a pretty good record but their best win was this past week when they beat the marginal OKSt.

Tulsa just barely beat K State today.

That game is actually being played at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. It's part of the Never Forget Tribute Classic. The Ucons are in white, however, and they're hanging in there. Down 5 with 1:01 left.

UConn fell to FSU, 79-71. That game was played in Newark.

Houston took down Okie State by 10.

South Florida has it's game with Charlotte cancelled due to weather last night. The NC and Charlotte area has a bunch of heavy wet snow , sleet, and freezing rain going on with all the power outages you might expect.

Interesting game on Wed between Houston and LSU if you're looking for something to watch that night.

UCF trailed for most of the second half to GA Southern in Orlando tonight in a game that was totally out of character for the Knights. Both teams lit up the scoreboard, with UCF pulling away late for a 95-88 win over the Eagles. B.J. Taylor fired in 35, most coming during the Knights' rally.
