    • It will be curious to see how this unfolds. The ncaa has had to take time from collecting money to show itself as a governing body over these big school infractions at the risk of looking complete ridiculous while these FBI wiretap play out. Bilas had an interesting take on the Az situation. I'll be curious to see how all this impacts Az's #1 recruiting class for 2019. Some strange brew out there in the west. It's hard to believe they are not looking at some big time sanctions:

The funniest part of this is Richardson's conversation with Dawkins about Miller getting "killed" having to pay 10k a month for the big kid. All this from a guy making 4mm annually.

        • I'll say it again. Who believes Miller and Richardson only started cheating when they got to Arizona?

          • Rashan Michel, who was Chuck Person's bagman at Auburn, just took a plea deal. This will probably lead to more fun info and possibly an investigation into Auburn basketball and Bruce Pearl.

Yes he sure did. Brey is one of the few good guys in the terribly corrupt coaching business. To paraphrase Mike Brey, "where have the AD's and school presidents been while these revelations have come out"? Sure looks to me like the NCAA is only now getting involved reluctantly. Anybody out there optimistic that the punishment (by the NCAA) will match the crime in most of these situations?? There should be a few death penalties and 5 year probations handed down. We'll see.

                  • I'd like to see a gigantic show cause for Will Wade and Sean Miller for starters. Throw in Mark Gottfried for good measure although I can't imagine who would hire him at this point.

And most of all I'd like to see Mark Emmert fired.

                    • Could this possibly happen soon enough this summer to open up the possibility of more kinds transferring? Normally in a situation like that don't kids get instant waivers?

                      • Honestly, who knows but I seriously doubt the NCAA will move that fast. The schools might move faster to terminate the coaches if it's obvious they're going to lose an infractions case. LSU already suspended Wade and then reinstated him even though it's completely obvious Wade paid for Naz Reid. I'm guessing the only reason they reinstated him is they didn't jump through the correct legal and employment hoops. Dude's guilty.

                        • Book Richardson got 3 months in jail and 2 years of probation in the case today. He was at Xavier with Sean Miller before this mess at Arizona.

Government was seeking 18-24 months for Richardson. I'm not sure that 3 months in jail is enough of a deterrent to keep these guys honest.
