  • Adam Kunkel Transfer G

Kunkel is originally from Cooper HS in Hebron KY and entered the portal today. He's transferring from Belmont where he avg'd 16.5 ppg last season. People are speculating on him coming here but there's no place to put him for 2020 unless someone leaves. He'd be a sit one transfer unless there's a heck of a waiver situation. I don't see where this works unless he walks on for this season pays his own way while he sits.

The only way there would be a chance here is if the Lakhin signing falls through or Keith decided not to come back...

But apparently UC has reached out https://twitter.com/JackPilgrimKSR/s...48490459213828

(You really can never stop recruiting, just in case...)

If DeJulius does not get HIS waiver doesnt that mean we DO have one open spot for THIS year ?

No, a redshirt (as he would be) still takes up a scholarship. UC is currently full, though one signed player is in Russia still and technically two players have yet to confirm they are staying at UC (Vogt is believed to be on campus, KW?)

He is NOT looking for a waiver. So if Keith left and we did end up getting him he wouldn’t be able to help us this year unless he changes his mind about a waiver.

That's a good point. And DeJulius still might not be able to help either (unless his waiver is approved).

So can't imagine wanting to take on a potential additional redshirt unless CJB is really comfortable with the roster and they had no one else to fill the hypothetical open scholarship.

I love it! Maybe 20 feet of Eggs campus fronts on Cincinnati and the rest is in Nore'ud. University of Norwood is apt. Sorry to see Adam go there, but glad if it means Keith will be suiting up for the Bearcats one more time.
