  • Isaiah White Transfer SG/SF 6’7

This is intriguing. Played at Utah Valley State off the radar. Very tall Guard. We’ve made contact per Weingarten

He had a good defensive rebounding rate at 26%. He did a good job of getting to the foul line where he was 74%. For me, the variable is his three point shooting. For the 19/20 season he was 23% on 62 attempts. However, in the 18/19 season he was 40% on 80 attempts. Perhaps that can be explained with Coach Mark Pope leaving UVU for BYU. He also was 51% on 130 two point attempts this past season. As a backup for Diarra at the 4 it makes some sense.

It will be interesting to see in the upcoming season if 3 pt shooting adjusts to the new line. There were a number of guys this year who had drop offs and one can't discount moving the line back. You shoot at one distance for a long time and then change it there has to be some impact.

Per the Arizona Daily Star, White chose USC over AZ.
