5/21: "If the Cats cannot land Terry Licorish, they will be hurting in the post in our opinion. Now that the Cards got Bender, we think the Cats can get Licorish. If so, Cincy will be OK until they have to go to their bench in the post." - AllStar Report (Roy and Harv)
5/21: "I felt Jason Maxiell would see more playing time initially then Terry Licorish, should Terry end up a Bearcat." - J Tiers, AllStar Report
5/20: "I could see Terry developing in Huggins' system, though I don't think he'd play over Jason Maxiell right away. I'm also still not sure what Terry's grades are like. I think part of the reason schools waited on him was his academics, though I'm not 100% sure and will have to do some checking." - J Tiers, AllStar Report
5/14: "We talked to our new Canadian Editor Ro Russell today and he tells us that 6'9 Terry Licorish from Durham (Mt. Zion Christian) NC via Toronto, ON, is down to only two schools - CINCINNATI and Louisville. Especially interesting is the fact Mick Cronin, who recently left Cincinnati to become the associate head coach at Louisville, now has recruited Licorish for both schools. Licorish, who is one of only two seniors left ranked among our top 100 nationally still unsigned and/or uncommitted , still hasn't made it academically. But if he does, Russell thinks he will pick Louisville. And Russell thinks it may be a lot closer than most people think. "Licorish has the necessary core and he should be able to improve enough to get the necessary score," says Russell." - PrepStars/Kentucky Hoops (4 to 5)
5/11: "Cincinnati and Louisville still in the mix" - PrepStars
4/12: "Despite recent reports to the contrary by the Louisville-Courier-Journal, (contributor, Ro Russell) also tells us that 6'9 Terry Licorish from Durham (Mt. Zion Christian) NC did not make a verbal commitment to the University of Louisville last fall. However, the Cardinals are among his final four, along with Cincinnati, Connecticut, and Miami-FL. Right now everybody is waiting to see if Licorish qualifies academically (currently he has a 2.4 gpa and 720 on the SAT). But if he doesn't make it, Licorish still may sign this spring and then go the junior college route. Under that scenario Licorish would likely attend Vincennes (JC) IN, Daytona Beach (JC) FL, or State Fair (JC) MO and, then, sign again with the school he picks this spring two years from now." - HoopScoop
4/11: "Another potential (Louisville) signee is 6'9" forward Terry Licorish of Mount Zion Academy in Durham, N.C. The Toronto native committed to U of L last fall but has yet to qualify academically. While in Louisville for last week's Nike Derby Festival Basketball Classic, he said he would like to come to U of L but that academics will determine whether he does." - Louisville C-J
4/6: "Terry Licorish, a 6-9 power forward from Mt. Zion (N.C.) who committed to U of L but has yet to sign a national letter-of-intent, said that the Cardinals are still high on his list. "I switched because I hadn't taken a visit anywhere yet. I didn't know if it was the right situation for me," Licorish said. He also said he has spoken with Pitino. "He said he wanted to meet me face-to-face," said Licorish, who averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds a game last season. Licorish said he didn't have plans to meet with Pitino while in town but that he might walk around the U of L campus today. He also said that his college choice would come after he receives his latest test score." - Louisville C-J
4/5/01: "Licorish, who attends Mt. Zion High School in Durham, NC, was excited by the area's passion for hoops, and is also impressed with new U of L coach Rick Pitino. "Everybody is showing a lot of love for basketball here," the 6-9, 220-pound power forward said. "Rick Pitino is a great coach, and being in the NBA he knows how to get players to the next level. I talked to coach Pitino last week and he was happy to talk to me. I can't wait to meet him face to face." The native of Canada has had Louisville at the top of his list of college choices for some time, and reiterated his hopes of becoming a Cardinal. "Right now, Louisville is No. 1 for me, especially now that Pitino is the coach," Licorish said. "They have a good situation, and the guys that are going to U of L, like Carlos (left) have shown me a lot of love. I'm enjoying it so far." Others in the hunt for Licorish are Cincinnati, Miami (Fla.), Connecticut and USC. Licorish has yet to qualify academically, but says he needs only a sufficient score on either the ACT or SAT (which he will take in May) to become eligible." - Louisville.rivals.com

11/8/00: "FastBreak Recruiting's Ron Briscoe is reporting that 6-10, 210-pound power forward Terry Licorish of Mt. Zion Academy in Durham, NC has committed to Louisville and will sign a Letter of Intent with the Cardinals on November 9."
11/8: "The University of Louisville basketball team got another commitment from a major recruiting target today when Durham (N.C.) Mount Zion forward Terry Licorish told Cardinals coaches he will sign a national letter of intent before the end of the fall signing period.
Licorish, a 6-foot-9, 220-pounder who has the range to play small forward and the size to play power forward said yesterday that he chose U of L "because they showed me the most love." "They've been showing interest in me for two years," said Licorish, a native of Toronto who would bring the number of foreign-born players on U of L's roster to five. "And I really believe I can help them win a championship, with some of the new players they've got and some of the guys coming in, they've got a chance to make a big run." Licorish, who is ranked between 90-100 by most major recruiting services, chose U of L over Michigan State, Southern California and Memphis. He began to garner more interest after an impressive run at the Nike All-American Camp in Indianapolis last summer. He was named first-team all-city by the Toronto Sun after his junior season at West Hill High School and also was named city defensive player of the year. Licorish averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds and nearly three blocks a game as a junior. "He's got long arms and definitely plays above the rim," said Van Coleman, publisher of Future Stars magazine. "He's got good quickness and can explode off the floor and can step out and pop the 17-footer with some regularity." - Louisville Courier Jornal
9/14: listed as the 22nd best center in the USA, in his class. - Brick O.
9/10/00: "Louisville assistant coach Vince Taylor was on hand to observe 6'9 PF Terry Licorish from Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham. Licorish impressed onlookers with an aggressive assault on the boards and his athletic prowess in the front court. He leaps high and was very assertive on the glass..." - High Major Hoops
