3/27: "Ballard High School basketball standout Adam Chiles has been a University of Kentucky fan his entire life. But until earlier this season, he never thought he'd get a chance to live out his dream of joining the Wildcats. Then the 6-foot-1 point guard showed this season he has major-college talent, and yesterday he said he'll attend UK on a scholarship. "I always wanted to play for Kentucky, but I never thought I would," Chiles said. "I've come a long way since my freshman year." - Louisville Courier journal
3/16: "I know they are recruiting Adam Chiles and he says that he'll visit them. He's combo guard from Kentucky" - Dave Telep, Rivals100Hoops (changed from 1 to 4)
2/20/01: "All Star Report's No. 5 uncommitted senior, Kentucky point guard Adam Chiles, will visit the University of Kentucky tomorrow, and sources close to Chiles tell ASR that should the visit go well, there is a chance that he could make a verbal commitment. The 6-2 Chiles is also considering Cincinnati, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Colorado, and UAB." - All Star Report
2/11: "I heard (Adam committing to Kentucky) was done. This is no surprise." - Insiders Report
2/1: "Adam Chiles doesn't sound like a player who is in a hurry to make a collegiate decision. The senior combo guard is getting it done this year for Louisville Ballard as he's averaging 18 points and 6 assists each time he takes the floor. Recently, Chiles received an offer from the Kentucky Wildcats. "I am going to take an official visit down there on the 10th," Chiles said. "They feel like they should have recruited a point guard this year. They think they can play me at the point guard or two guard position." Chiles is also interested in Virginia Tech, UAB and Miami-OH. "I plan on setting [an official visit] up soon to Virginia Tech." Chiles visited Marshall early, but there's not going to be a stampede to Marshall to play for the Thundering Herd. "I am looking to go to a winning program and get some playing time as a freshman and get a good education." - Rivals100 Hoops
1/28: "Jeffersonville (IN) upset Top 5 nationally rated Ballard (KY) 69-66 on Saturday. In a losing effort, uncommitted senior point guard Adam Chiles scored 31 points for Ballard (21-1)" - AllStar Report
1/19: "is expected to set up an official visit to the Wildcats campus very soon, according to Chiles' mom. (now sd to be Feb 10th) "Adam was offered a scholarship last night," said Adam's mom. "But Adam has not made a decision. But Kentucky is certainly near the top of his list." - Insiders Report
1/14: "Uncommitted point guard Adam Chiles helped lead nationally ranked Ballard HS (KY) to a 68-66 victory over Bowling Green (KY) on Saturday in the championship game of the Republic Bank Louisville Invitational Tournament. Chiles scored 22 points and added 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 blocked shots, and 5 steals. Ballard is now 19-0 this season." - AllStar Report
1/9/01: "One of these days, one college is going to realize KY PG Adam Chiles is a pretty good player. Interest in Chiles prior to his senior season was pretty slow. He's a good point guard, fine athlete and he comes from a winning tradition. He's at least a mid-major player who is going to make someone very happy come the spring signing period. Right now, he's averaging 18 points and six assists from a combo guard position for undefeated (16-0) Ballard. Virginia Tech, Tennessee Tech, Villanova and UAB have been to see him play and according to Chiles, each has offered. Kentucky is looking at its scholarship situation, but he's spoken to the Wildcats. However, he won't wait for them. "I just want to go somewhere where I can play, we can win and I can get an education," Chiles said. So far, he's only visited Marshall and that was before the start of the season. The Thundering Herd isn't a factor right now. Chiles is already qualified, sports a 3.0 GPA and has a test score of over 900. College coaches needing a point should take notice and give him a ring. He's pretty good and he has that winning intangible which is very attractive this time of the year." - Rivals100Hoops
12/00: "The Ballard Bruins are one of the top basketball programs in the country and while they have standouts like Brandon Bender and Adam Chiles but the Bruins are far from a two-man team. Never was that more evident than in the 20th annual King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic Tournament championship game where Ballard won the title by defeating Tabor Academy (Mass) 91-85. University of Louisville Hall of Fame coach Denny Crum, and Kentucky head coach Tubby Smith watched the championship game (in which Ballard played)."

11/00: ranked the 7th best player in Kentucky. "Chiles is one of the state's most explosive players going to the basket. He averaged 14.1 points last season. "Offensively, Adam has so many ways he can score, and he's such a great defender," Coach Renner said. - Louisville C-J
Good scorer, and slasher, Chiles needs to get stronger, and develope his ball handling skills. Most scouts think he should improve enough his senior year to be a top level point guard in College.
6/8/00: "averaged 14 points and three assists as a junior. He's already passed the SAT and boasts a 2.8 GPA." Border Wars Hoops
12/14/99: "Coach Renner feels that Adam is a strong, versatile player who can knock down three pointers. So far Cincinnati, Louisville, Iowa State, Western Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky are watching him." - FastBreak Recruiting
