07/26/07: "Though Texas guard Willie Warren admitted that Oklahoma was the favorite in the race to sign him, the high-scoring 6-foot-4 player also said Louisville is making a huge late push and will be a factor.

Warren took note that U of L had a coach at every game he played during the first three days of the Nike Main Event, including an appearance by Rick Pitino. "I have to consider them because of Rick Pitino," said Warren, a senior-to-be from Fort Worth. "They came hard the first week (of contact) and so that put them in the top 10 and now they keep coming harder and harder. "So, that really moves them up. I like Louisville."

Warren, who committed to Baylor last month only to take it back a day later, said the Sooner are his favorites at the moment. But he said schools "two through eight still have a shot," noting that he has also just added Seton Hall and Connecticut to his list this week. The other schools besides U of L are Kentucky, Texas, Kansas, Cincinnati, Marquette and Arizona." - Louisville CJ

07/22/07: "Willie Warren is a prized prospect from Texas, who has been chased for years by the nation's top college programs. He was ready to commit to the University of Cincinnati before his freshman year of high school. But the senior-to-be from Fort Worth North Crawley High School changed his mind, then committed and de-committed to Baylor and is rumored to have committed to several other schools the past year." - Louisville CJ

07/19/07: Willie Warren, a 6-foot-3 senior guard from North Crowley High in suburban Fort Worth, Texas, told Rivals.com that Oklahoma currently is his favorite followed closely — in order — by Texas, Kansas, Louisville, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Marquette and Arizona." - KUSports.com

07/18/07: I just got off the phone with our man Willie Warren, which is always entertaining and refreshing. Often times with high school kids, it is tough to get them to talk and open up. Not Willie. He answered a few of my questions and spoke about the status of his recruitment. Here are the highlights:

Q: At this point in your recruitment, have you narrowed your list of schools down or figured out where you are going to visit?
- I am not sure where I am going to visit, but I have narrowed the list down to 8. In order they are: - Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Louisville, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Marquette, Arizona.

Q: When you say in order, is that your order of favorites?
- Right now it is. But you never know if it will change.
