(4 to 1, probably should have dropped him a while ago when no Bearcat coach attended his games in the Morgantown event a few weeks ago.)

04/29/07: Miller had an excellent King James tourney in Akron drawing the attention of many major coaches including Mick Cronin. He helped lead his D1 Greyhounds to a final four performance. Miller is highly athletic and rebounds well. Has a nose for the ball and a nice shooting touch. Right now he is non-committal on a college decision and with so many coaches after him the competition is tough. Right now he is listed as a '4'. - Mike Ryan

04/15/07: New University of Kentucky men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie traveled to Maysville on Friday and spent time at Mason County High School. Gillispie went to watch Darius Miller, one of the country's top high school juniors. "Coach made it in today and watched Darius in open gym," Mason County coach Chris O'Hearn said. "We sat and talked and watched for about an hour and a half. He said Darius is one of their top priorities, especially for the '08 class."
The 6-foot-6 Miller led the Royals in points (19.0 per game), rebounds (7.7), assists (3.5), steals (2.3) and blocked shots (2.1) this past season. Considered one of the top candidates for Mr. Basketball next season, Miller is ranked No. 24 in the nation by Scout.com. He's ranked No. 38 by Rivals.com and No. 39 by the Hoop Scoop. Gillispie gave the impression that he and his staff were "going to do everything they can to get (Miller)," O'Hearn said." - Louisville Courier Journal
04/15/07: Named to the All State Team. The 6-foot-6 Miller is one of the leading candidates for next year's Mr. Basketball award and is considered one of the top 25 juniors in the country. Used primarily as a guard, Miller averaged 19 points, eight rebounds and 3.5 assists as a junior. He also had 73 steals and 64 blocked shots. "Darius has improved tremendously," coach Chris O'Hearn said. "He is a like a young colt that has grown into his body. His size and athleticism have developed nicely. He had a great year for us. His versatility was a huge part of our success this season. He can guard on the perimeter and in the posts."
Miller first broke onto the scene as an eighth-grader when he turned in a solid game at the state tournament. He had led the Royals in scoring and assists for two years. O'Hearn said every major college in the country is calling Miller. The major players seem to be Kentucky, Louisville, Duke, Florida, Tennessee, Illinois and Cincinnati. - Louisville Courier Journal
