07/11/07 - University of Cincinnati basketball coach Mick Cronin today added one player to his recruiting class of 2007 and subtracted one from the class of 2008. Darnell Wilks, a 6-8 forward from Nashville's Pioneer Christian Academy, who originally made an oral commitment as a member of the 2008 recruiting class, has enrolled at UC and is expected to be eligible to play this season. "Wilks is enrolled in school," Cronin said. "He starts tomorrow."

Cronin said Wilks will remind UC fans of James White. "He's a 6-8 wing. He's an elite level athlete. He puts you in mind of Tracy McGrady. He has improved his ball skills which have allowed him to be a legitimate perimeter player. How much he plays (as a freshman) depends on his commitment to the weight room and his commitment to playing defense on that level." - Enquirer.com
