09/29/06: "LSU is hosting the nation's 16th ranked player Anthony Randolph for his third visit of the fall. The 6-foot-10 versatile forward has already visited Texas and Georgetown and Kansas on his list for an October visit." - www.RivalsHoops.com
08/23/06: ScoutHoops reports that Randolph has trimmed his list to four schools, Texas, Georgetown, LSU and Kansas. (4 to 2)
08/20/06: Listed as the 9th best player in his class. - USAToday/PrepStars.com
08/16/06: Bumped to a 4, from 3. - Mike Ryan
08/15/06: Listed as the 12th best player in his class. - www.PrepHoopsOnline.com
08/08/06: "A lot of schools have told me that they see Anthony as a shooting guard. He can definitely play the small forward, but he is also a big guard." - www.RivalsHoops.com
08/08/06: Listed as the 16th best player in his class. - www.RivalsHoops.com
08/06/06: "Brick Oettinger has been analyzing college recruiting for decades. He's a well-known figure at the various recruiting events each summer. So it was not surprising to learn that the family of high-profile prospect Anthony Randolph asked Oettinger for a list of the 10 college coaches with the best track record for preparing big men for the NBA.
Oettinger, who is more comfortable observing rather than participating in the recruiting process, tried to sidestep the request. "I said that beauty was in the eye of the beholder," he said. Ultimately, Oettinger provided a list, which included Kentucky. "You have to put Kentucky," he said.
The rest of the list was a rundown of familiar names: Jim Calhoun of UConn, Mike Krzyzewski of Duke, Roy Williams of North Carolina, Bill Self of Kansas, yes Tubby Smith of Kentucky, etc, etc. Oettinger's Prep Stars recruiting service rates Randolph, a 6-10 forward from Dallas, among the nation's top five prospects." - Lexington Herald
08/03/06: "Anthony Randolph is like Chris Bosh's younger twin. They are the same size, and both are lean, lefthanded and from Dallas. Randolph has shooting range and a killer move from the midpost area on the right side of the lane, where he leads into a turn with his right shoulder, then launches a 12-foot lefty jumper. A batch of big-time programs want Randolph for the one year he is likely to spend in college, but Memphis and Cincinnati are leading the pack." - DeCourcy, SportingNews.com
07/23/06: "Anthony Randolph, a 6-10 forward from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, had the entire Memphis coaching staff, Illinois head coach Bruce Weber, Texas A&M head coach Billy Gillispie, Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin, Kentucky head coach Tubby Smith, two Texas assistant coaches, LSU head coach John Brady, and assistant coaches from Louisville, Georgetown, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, and Baylor. Ransolph is the #10 ranked prospect in the Class of 2007 according to Scout.com." - www.ScoutHoops.com
07/22/06: "Another one of the more interesting stories of the day was the overwhelming number of college coaches, including Kentucky head coach Tubby Smith, Memphis head coach John Calipari, Louisville head coach Rick Pitino, Illinois head coach Bruce Weber, Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin, Texas A&M head coach Billy Gillispie, Texas head coach Rick Barnes, and LSU head coach John Brady, who were on hand to see 6'10 Anthony Randolph from Dallas (Woodrow Wilson) TX and the Dallas Mustangs this morning at 9:00 AM in the Auxiliary Gym at Foothills High School. Unfortunately this was not one of Randolph's best efforts, as he six points and three rebounds and hit 3-12 field goals. Fortunately Randolph played much better in his second game of the day, as Randolph impressed everybody in attendance with his ability to handle, pass, and do things out on the perimeter." - www.HoopScoopOnline.com
06/28/06: "Randolph is a big time prospect. He's not a power forward in the true sense of the word. He's that new breed of perimeter big man who can play from multiple spots on the floor and is most comfortable when facing the basket. That's who Randolph is and it's also one of the reasons why he's such a great prospect." - www.ScoutHoops.com
06/20/06: Listed as the 14th best player in his class. - www.HoopScoopOnline.com
