Hall, a 6-foot-9, 250-pounder and first-team NJCAA All-American at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas, averaged 14.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in leading the Bearcats to a 22-8 record last winter.

He is listed as the fourth-best JC prospect in the country in JucoJunction.com's Top 65 for 2006."

04/07/06: New Duquesne basketball coach Ron Everhart was in Texas yesterday to talk to recruit Hernol Hall and will be showing three prospective recruits around campus and the city this weekend. Hall, a 6-foot-10 center, was the prized recruit of former coach Danny Nee, who resigned after a 3-24 season. Everhart wanted to find out if Hall wants a release from the national letter of intent he signed last November. "I don't think anything was resolved one way or the other, but we'll be talking a lot more," Everhart said of Hall, who averaged 14.9 points and 7.9 rebounds this past season at Lon Morris Community College in Jacksonville, Texas. While it remains unlikely the 6-foot-10, 245-pound Hall will play for Duquesne next season, the release remains in its early stage. Duquesne sports information director Dave Saba said yesterday afternoon that no paperwork had been filed.
