08/16/08: "Adrion Graves has requested and received his release from the Xavier basketball team. Graves, a 6-foot-4 guard, averaged 1.9 points, 1.0 rebounds and 8.1 minutes over 34 games last season, when he was a sophomore.

Graves, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard ranked among the top 10 seniors in Ohio by several web sites, had long been a top target for XU, but it appeared Xavier was going to lose out on him to crosstown rival Cincinnati. That changed, however, with Bob Huggins' departure from UC in August. Since then, Xavier re-entered Graves' recruiting picture, and became a favorite in the last few weeks." - Enquirer.com
