04/13/05: "The Bearcats are also expecting a visit by Mario Boggan during the spring signing period. Boggan is a 6-6 forward from Chipola (Fla.) Community College, the same school former Bearcat Nick Williams attended before coming to UC. Boggan was one of the nation's top recruits out of high school before starting his career at Florida. 04/04/05: "Scout Van Coleman of Hoopmasters.com says you won't see as much of Mario Boggan when he returns to Division I. Boggan, who often weighed more than 300 pounds at Florida, apparently was down to 260 when he played with Chipola (Fla.) Junior College at the NJCAA championships. 03/26/05: Chipola lost to Moberly in he NJCAA tourney. Boggan had a team high 16 points. Boggan made All-Tournament 1st team.

03/23/05: Boggan scored 12 points in a first round win in the NJCCA championships.

03/12/05: The Chipola team won the FCCAA State Championship. "The Indians were led in scoring by Mario Boggan with 19 points. He also had 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Chipola will represent Florida and Region VIII in the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament, March 22-26 in Hutchinson, KS." - Chipley Bugle

02/13/05: "Mario Boggan of Chipola FL JC is one of the top available post scorers in the country. Boggan attended the University of Florida after a prep year at Hargrave Military Academy. As a frosh at Florida in 2002-03 Boggan averaged 2.3 ppg, 1.9 rpg while appearing in 16 games and shooting 52%. South Alabama is one of the many schools
interested in the offensive force. Boggan is averaging 22 ppg and 12 rpg for 24 - 2 Chipola. Chipola Coach Greg Heiar says: "Boggan has a tremendous all around game. He really knows how to play. 02/04/05: Boggan led the way for Chipola with 23 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Gulf Coast Community College.

02/02/05: Thru 21 games, Boggan is averaging 23 ppg, 10 rpg, 2 apg. He is hitting 62% on FG's and 70% on FT's. He is 5-15 on treys.

01/26/05: Boggan led Chipola (20-2) with a game-high 28 points in a win over Tallahassee Community College.

01/20/05: Named Florida Community College Activities Association Player of the Week. Boggan, a 6-8 transfer from the University of Florida, has played a big part of his team's 17 straight wins, number-two ranking in the Florida JUCO Poll and fifth place spot in the national poll. The sophomore post player scored a total of 69 points in Chipola's first two conference outings, including 32 points in Chipola's January 15 win over Gulf Coast. He led all players with 37 points and 13 rebounds in Chipola's 100-91 victory over Pensacola on January 18. Boggan is fourth on the state scoring list averaging more than 20 points per game. He is shooting 62 percent from the floor and averaging 9.5 rebs per game.

Boggan, a 6-foot-6 sophomore from Durham, N.C., played sparingly in 16 games last season, averaging 2.3 points and 1.9 rebounds.
