10/20/03: "Jamal Nichols, a 6-8 power forward, transfer from Riverside (CA) to Globe Tech (NY)" - Big Apples Sports

10/15/03: "Jamal Nichols was one of the top freshmen in the California junior college ranks this winter. A rugged 6-8, 230 pound power forward from Philadelphia, Penn., Nichols sat out a year at St. Joseph's University in Philly prior to enrolling at Riverside City College for the 2002-2003 school year. Nichols averaged 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for Riverside this past season. If he can graduate from junior college by the end of the summer, there's a chance that Nichols could enroll at a Division I program with three years to play in the fall of 2003." - RivalsHoops.com

10/8/03: Nichols is not on the roster of the newly updated Riverside COmm College website.

09/04/03: "St. Joseph transfer averaged 17 points and 8 boards at Riverside last season. He may return to Riverside or could finish his associate degree and enroll in D1 in December. He has serious interest from Fresno State, Oregon, and Cincinnati at this point, but look for list to grow if he stays in JC this season." - HoopMasters.com

Nichols attended HS in Philadelphia, PA.

June 2001 - "Our Philadelphia/Eastern Pennsylvania/South Jersey Editor Allen Rubin tells us that 6'7 Jamal Nichols from Philadelphia (Neumann) PA had a 2:00 PM press conference this afternoon and he made it official for St. Joseph's. While this commitment came too late to be included with St. Joseph's recruiting class, it is still huge, because Nichols is already academically qualified and is ranked #7 in the senior class in the area by the HOOP SCOOP."
