5/13/03: "Brandon Ivery stock has risen to the point that he has been invited to NBA and pretigous Adidas ABCD camp's. He has shown the ability to play inside or outside and be effective. What really has scouts in awe, is the defense this young man plays. Ivery has guarded two of the top 20 players in the country, Josh Williams (Atlanta Celtics) and Roy Bright (Michigan Hurricanes) and did very well in containing them. Ivery defense on the two players was one of the keys to Cleveland Basketball Club getting the victory's.
Ivery has shown very good skills in passing and handling the basketball. He'll grab a rebounds and lead the fast break. He is also a very good excellent free-throw shooter, Ivery has made several key shots in the wanding minutes of several close games to seal the victory's. Ivery's full package is what has nearly every college coach seeking his talent.
Colleges which has shown early interest include: Cleveland State University, Dayton, CINCINNATI, USC, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Miami/Ohio. At this time Ivery is leaving his options open.
Last season, Ivery averaged 20.2 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks per game. Ivery who missed the second half of the season due to grades, is in good standards and will be a qualifier. He failed German and was short credits, he only took 5 credits and a athletes must carries 5 credits to be eligible.
Ivery is towering the summer with michael Duncan's Cleveland Basketball Club. They will be traveling to Cincinnati Select Ivite and then two the North Carolina to participate in Bob Gibbon's Tournament of Champions. Gibbon's tournament will feature 32 of the top 17/under teams in the country. Cleveland Basketball Club is currently ranked #17 in the country by Prepstars.com." - Ohio Preps
