While we try and figure out who our QB will be, UCLA has the same issue except they don't seem to have a front runner and they have 3 guys still in the derby. The guy you'd think would start, Wilson Speight (Ex-Mich.), is a terrible fit for Chip Kelly's offense. He's largely immobile in an offense that relies on the QB being a running threat.

Also need to point out that last year's UCLA defense was horrid. Kelly is not known for his defense often preferring for the defense to break if they get in a hole so the offense can get back on the field. We should be prepared for 4th down conversion attempts and 2 pt conversions on the first drive and throughout the game. He does not like to kick.

New update for the game on Saturday. It looks like they are going to lose some depth and a starter, as 6 players have been suspended. My understanding is that Moses Robinson-Carr was expected to be a starter on the DL and Soso was going to be the backup RB. For a team that couldn't stop the run last year, they just lost one guy to injury and now another to suspension on the DL. Cheers to an upset!!

I agree. Wish I had more confidence in the offense. Defense will be better but can the offense stay on the field long enough to let them catch their collective breaths. Backs good but offensive line and Moore still a big question mark in my mind.

Wilson Speight has been named the UCLA starter. This seemed obvious but I think we’re looking at a different offense than what we expected from Kelly with Speight back there
