JaQuay Savage sat one and played one at TAMU in 2013 before transferring to Louisville. Sat one in 2014 and played one at Louisville in 2015 and was an injury redshirt in 2016. He was expected to be a reserve if he had stayed at UL. Grad transferred to UC this morning as mentioned by Shane Kinnee at BCL. 247 had him rated a 4 star coming out of HS. He has size at 6'3 and experience which can help us. Have to say his production has been minimal when he's been able to play.

Savage is from Sandy Creek HS in GA which and Fork Union Military Academy prep school. Sandy Creek is also where we found RB Jaelen Greene.

Sounds like a great pick up, but still the irony that we all get excited about getting a UL backup. Let's hope he is better than his numbers indicate.

I'm getting wary of over hyping transfers particularly in the receiving corps. The last two highly rated guys that transferred from P5 schools barely made a dent in the stats while they were here. Hopefully Savage will turn out to be more productive and be a regular on the field. This was probably unfortunate time to have Tshumbi Johnson grad transfer out to Valdosta St.
