At least one new rule this year per coachingsearch.com . Coaches who go on the field to yell at the ref will be penalized immediately. The get-back coach has a more important job this year apparently.

I know what they're trying to solve, some coaches are ridiculous in their sideline behavior, but I hate putting in more rules. And this seems to put the referees in a more powerful position, i.e., they can just ignore coaches they don't like and/or don't want to listen to. Everybody makes mistakes, so how can a HC get the referees' attention otherwise?
Another "all suffer for the few" or "lowest common denominator" rule - pick your metaphor.
