AAC shows up big in this. Fuente expected to be at VT after their game this week. Herman at Houston may end up in several places. UCF is hiring. Tulane looks like they are going to be hiring.

This the best article I've seen. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/forde-y...394-ncaaf.html

Fuente is gone to VT. Herman has an agreement in principle on a 3M deal but hasn't signed yet, UCF just hired Scott Frost, the OC at Oregon, and Johnson at Tulane has been canned.

A mess in the SEC is still better than most of the open jobs, unless Temple is telling him he's getting a significant salary increase.

True. But when you have players openly saying that some members of the team are divided over issues on campus, that's a situation that some coaches (not all) will avoid.
In most years it probably wouldn't affect their search for a HC. But this year there are too many good openings. Mizzou will be lucky to get a MAC assistant.

Campbell landed at ISU and Babers might be headed to Syracuse or Maryland.

Richt to Miami was a done deal last night. Seeing things like Fedora to MIzzou , Babers to Cuse, Rhule to UVA, Muschamp to South Carolina. Kirby Smart pretty much is the only candidate at UGA.

                      Catching up from the weekend:

ECU fired Ruffin McNeill for some seemingly dumb reason.
Matt Rhule is staying at Temple.
Tom Herman is staying at Houston.
Memphis hired MIke Norvell from ASU OC duty.
USF reupped with Taggart for 5 years after Taggart interviewed with South Carolina.
And.. last but not least Tulane hasn't hired anyone yet.

Other thing of note, and there is a separate thread on this, but Eddie Gran looks poised to move to UGA under Kirby Smart, who still has not been announced officially.

Seeing where Kendal Briles is one of 3 finalists for the Tulane job. That would be really interesting.

Tulane went ham and got Willie Fritz from Ga Southern. The guy has winning % as an HC of about 75%.

If we're still in this league after after this round of expansion takes place, it's going to be very competitive in a few years.

After getting the obligatory "thanks but no thanks" from several outside candidates, Mizzou promotes their Defensive Coordinator Barry Odom to Head Coach.
