A free agent makes no money. They are free agents because they are not under contract.

If a player makes the practice squad they are guaranteed the league minimum of $5700 per week but could negotiate for more.

A free agent NFL player makes no money. They are a free agent because they are no longer under contract. For more information look here:

Players on the practice squad can earn a minimum of $5,700 per week in 2011. It is worth noting teams can pay a member of the practice squad anything above that amount but it appears as though it impacts the salary cap.

Well obviously a free agent doesn't make any money, he is unemployed. My question is what do guys make when they sign their first contract as undrafted free agents?

So the answer is at least $5700 per week or whatever more their agent can negotiate.

More Bearcats drafted than O$U and Florida combined! If this is indication of the bare cupboard left at Florida then O$U could be in trouble the next few years with Meyer.

Yes that was sarcasm, but I can dream.

Maybe we didn't get that, but we did get more than Florida, Auburn, Pitt, USF, Houston, Maryland, Duke, Indiana, Minnesota, BYU, UCLA, Washington State, Texas Tech, and Kansas combined.

(Florida had 2, Auburn had 1, and the rest on that list had zero)
