  • OT: Aaron Lynch to South Florida?

2011's top DE prospect Aaron Lynch has quit the Notre Dame football team and is supposedly headed back to his home state of Florida.

The following articles reference a recruiting battle for Lynch and another player that transpired with Florida State and the article speculates as a result one of the few places Lynch will be permitted to land is South Florida.

For anyone that has seen this kid play you know that barring injury or a criminal situation he's likely to be a top-10 NFL draft pick someday. I sure hope Don Mahoney has the offensive line up to speed should Lynch lineup across from the Bearcats some day. This kid is a passrushing beast.

"In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel." - former colleague to Jim Tressel as quoted in Sports Illustrated.

This is certainly good news for USF opponents. This young man was a beast at ND.
