Nator; I like the graphic of the 4 16 team conferences at the end...
Sounds like a plan, let's go with it.
Once a college football powerhouse, the Big 12's luster has faded, leaving Texas, OU and Kansas to ponder their options for other conferences.

A four super conference idea is not new. If Noter Shame goes fully into the ACC, don't forget to include teams like BYU and Boise State. The Pacific Conference will focus on Academics as a primary consideration. The map looks nice for UC because we are in the Super 64; however, there are many errors in the logic of this author. OSU Cowboys and K-state won't get left out. Texas is a big draw, but will it be big enough to pull the other Texas universities along for the ride, thus pleasing the political conglomerate that is Texas state legislature? Getting to 4 16-team conferences makes the math easy and is a tidy poker chip against the NCAA for March basketball, too. If the Super Conferences hold their own tournament where all conference members are in, then there will be a much clear division of the haves and haves not in terms of money. CBS will not pay for a March Tournament without Duke, Kansas, Mich State and the others in that Super 64. On the other hand, four super conferences means a four team football play-off is here to stay. Winning your division may not be good enough.

Overall, it's a nice read because it gives good history and predicts that SOMETHING will happen soon with Oklahoma.
