Announcing the new Bearcatnews Forums

To all current Bearcatnews.com forum subscribers:

Today, we would like to announce the opening of the new Bearcatnews
Forums.  The link to access the new forums is below:

Threads categories are as follows:

Basketball - Discussion about the current Bearcat basketball team
Football - Discussion about the current Bearcat football team
Where are they now? - Discussion about Bearcat basketball and football
alumni including players and coaches.
General - Discussion about general UC athletics topics. This includes
the athletic administration and sports other than basketball and
football.
Feedback - Provide your feedback to the Bearcatnews.com admins about
the new forum format.

Registration is required to post to the new forums.  Each registration
will require approval from either myself, Brett Pappas or Mike Ryan.
You will receive an e-mail when your registration is approved.

After registration approval is granted, new accounts are put into a
moderation period to deter spammers.  We will try to override this
moderation period for accounts we recognize as current e-mail forum
subscribers.

Please be patient when submitting your registration and when waiting
for your initial posts to be approved.  Each of us (myself, Brett
and Mike) has day jobs which may prevent us from immediately being able
to process approvals.  We should be able to get approvals done within
24 hours.

One week from today's announcement, the current e-mail based forums
will be closed permanently.
