Recruiting is not a "test" of anything. Kids go to schools for all kinds of different reasons. Some go to a school because they like the uniforms, some go because they like the arena, some even go because they want to get their degree in chemical engineering so if you school does not offer degrees in chemical engineering you have no shot at the kid. Others want to go out of town to get away from their enviroment or the hood. Not getting McClain because he has wanted to go to UConn for years or not getting Gates because he needs to get away does not mean Mick has failed any "test".
