I seem to remember reading a few years back that Mike Montgomery took the
Golden State job specifically so he could stay on the west coast. I think
you can take him off the list. Plus, he has no recruiting ties outside that
area. Kruger has been in the Big Ten before with Illinois.

"According to ESPN.com's Andy Katz, some of the names that will be up
for consideration to replace Amaker would be Washington State coach
Tony Bennett, Southern Illinois coach Chris Lowery, former Golden
State Warriors coach Mike Montgomery, UNLV coach Lon Kruger, West
Virginia coach John Beilein as well as ESPN analysts Rick Majerus and
Steve Lavin. "

Crazy list to me... I can' t see John Beilein going. Bennett and
Lowery are the only "up and comers".

I think it is safe to say Mick won't be going there... Sean Miller may
be on that short list however. Brad Brownell at Wright State is
another. Butler's coach is a 3rd.

I'd imagine they bring someone in from the midwest for recruiting
purposes...

Is Mick on their list? Who are the good young coaches?
