Hello Emily,
I was a SigEp so I hung out with all of the SigEp and Pi Lam guys for those years.

I remember Shoemaker Shakers since I was one of them. Who was your friend
because I used to help head up that group.

I am sure that it started way before that. The original RallyCats was a
group that would go to the games on a bus to go to the convention center. I
know that the Shoemaker Shakers were around in the early 90s and most of my
friends when I started school were running that organization. Those are the
two organizations that we based the new RallyCats on when we restarted it in
99.

It actually started in the early 90's because I was there sleeping on that
hard floor in the old Lawrence Hall in 1993. I'd say the students today
have it much easier--which is why I still don't understand their 'low
attendance' over the course of the last few seasons, with a few exceptions.
And 'Bearcat Nikki' wasn't the first...there were others before her time :

Back in the late 90s everyone was allowed to camp inside and
during the Lousiville/Memphis camp out in 95 everyone who camped
out didn't get a seat. It was great, but admittingly out of hand.
Video tape players (not many DVDs then), couches, video game
systems, tents, pizza from the coaching staff, NBA live against
Damon Flint. Just a good time. They eliminated most of it due to
"fire codes" many years later.

Not quite....I camped outside in 2000 for X tickets. A year or so
laterthey started letting people inside, because I camped inside
in 2002 for X
and UofL tix.

I'm not sure what the policy is these days. Actually, I remember
hearingthat a couple years ago they let students get online
tickets, and that the
seating was random. The online method eliminated camping out.
