Mick has done an outstanding job given the circumstances under which he
started as head coach. To play a little what if, they very well could
have beat Wofford, UAB, Syracuse, Providence, and Rutgers on the road,
which would have made them 16-13 and a NIT candidate. 

 

Mick stated in the Enquirer today he planned on being UC coach for
another 20 years, I think he will be and then some. I see Mick as a
Billy Donovan or a young Denny Crum (who was 32 years old when he became
head coach at U of L). Mike DeCourcy of TSN is on record saying Mick is
the next great coach in college basketball. 

 

I feel the future of UC Basketball, under the guidance of Mick Cronin,
is very bright.
