I think just the opposite. I think he wanted to win so he did not put Allen back in. Barwin and Miller are better options in my opinion even with Allen's height. I agree that occasionally you can get a spurt of good play from Allen, but you get the same level from Barwin and Allen.

Since we have used stock analogies recently, it is like buying a GE or PG in stead of a "high flyer". The high flyer may go up quite a bit, but can also go down quite a bit whereas PG and GE are more steady. Everyone needs to look at their portfolio (players) and do a risk assessment and decide what you want to do. I have no issues with Allen not playing anymore. Imagine what would be said today if Allen came in and had 2 TO's, his man scores 2 baskets and SH goes on an 8-0 run and now we are down and cannot recover?

I think it was a conservative move on Mick's part that I agreed with.

If you want to pick at Mick, I'd get on him more for being slow to adjust to the pick and roll that SH ran non-stop. Barwin did the best job defending it and at the end they finally began to stop it better. Too many times they were stuck with Vaughn or Warren guarding a big man in the post.

I saw that quote from Mick. But, at this point in the season, the players have learned all they are going to learn. It's not time to teach lessons about technicals. His team needed a win. And by exhausting Sikes and McGowan to the point where they could no longer walk, he nearly cost his team the win, in my opinion.

technicals by players are big no-nos. Maybe he's just saying that, or maybe
anyone would have sat....who knows.

True. Excellent game plan by the coaching staff to handle the press and
executed very well by the players. Here's an important statistic - Warren
played the entire 45 minutes of the game and had ONE turnover. The 'Cats
were very patient on offense last night but they were also agressive in
attacking the basket. Good win for the team.

I was at the game last night. It was the first time I questioned some of
Cronin's bench coaching decisions. Sikes and McGowan could hardly walk with
about 7-8 minutes to play due to fatigue and cramps. They could neither
move on offense or defense, let alone jump to contest shots or rebound. I
could not understand why Cronin did not play Allen some more, at least in
short bursts rest Sikes and McGowan. He played with good effort and enery
while in the game early.

I heard that Seton Hall was #2 in the nation in steals. The Cats had 10
turnovers in the first half.....1 the remaining 25 minutes.
