I saw that quote from Mick. But, at this point in the season, the players have learned all they are going to learn. It's not time to teach lessons about technicals. His team needed a win. And by exhausting Sikes and McGowan to the point where they could no longer walk, he nearly cost his team the win, in my opinion.

technicals by players are big no-nos. Maybe he's just saying that, or maybe
anyone would have sat....who knows.

True. Excellent game plan by the coaching staff to handle the press and
executed very well by the players. Here's an important statistic - Warren
played the entire 45 minutes of the game and had ONE turnover. The 'Cats
were very patient on offense last night but they were also agressive in
attacking the basket. Good win for the team.
I was at the game last night. It was the first time I questioned some of
Cronin's bench coaching decisions. Sikes and McGowan could hardly walk with
about 7-8 minutes to play due to fatigue and cramps. They could neither
move on offense or defense, let alone jump to contest shots or rebound. I
could not understand why Cronin did not play Allen some more, at least in
short bursts rest Sikes and McGowan. He played with good effort and enery
while in the game early.

I heard that Seton Hall was #2 in the nation in steals. The Cats had 10
turnovers in the first half.....1 the remaining 25 minutes.

Well, like I said a win is a win. I was at the game and thought
our offense
was dead most of the game. We just don't move on offense. We stand
around,
dribble the ball outside the 3 point line, not enough movement
and passing.
I lost count but I think we ended up taking 7-10 bad shots as time
expired
on the shot clock. If we had better ball movement on offense we would
win
this game in regulation. Cronin was happy with how we handled the press
and we
limited our turnovers against a team that gets a lot of turnovers, so
have to be happy with that. And a win is a win.
