Again some news from Belgium.
The good news is that our team is finaly alive, we're now in the third spot.
The bad news is that another player was fired, even without further payment
due to unprofeesional behaivuer for quite a long time and after multiple
notices. even worsqe is that it is the drinking buddy of Hicks. I think eric
had the advantage, together with the third
musketier Wright that they actualy performed the last months. A lot of
rumours are going on that they were caught in another city, passed out
due to too much alcohol.
These are rumours but there are plenty of them.
Also that they were fined with a holding of 30% of their wages. Those
should be paid if we become champs. again rumours. We've seen it
before with freshman that they
can't be responsible enough to live on their own. Nightlife is very
close with main cities only 30 miles away from each other and our
beers are quite strong, not to be compared
with Bud weiser, 7 or 8% is quite normal, sometimes theu have the
strenght of wine. And aparently they were more scoring off the court
than on the court.
We're waiting on a replacer for the fired player, rumours are that it would
be James Maye of the Dakota Wizards, the starting sg from the Bosnean
national team or another,Jasmin Hukic who already played for our coach; I
bet my money on the last one, aparently the realease money for Maye is
30.000 US$.
So the team is doing quite well bu eric isn't, he's getting the lowest
indexrating the last time of all players, even the new ones who don't know
the playes that well. It shows he doesn't know the playes, in defence and
offence!. Lately we're playing with 2 or even 3 pg's who switch between
offence and defence, our defence is now a combo of a kind of double zone and
box and one and it works like magic. Defence is now pretty good. We won with
20 points from a PO contender (if the refs would have been better it would
have been more) and with 10 points against the leader. Our only problem is
the third quarter were we aparently can't score more than 10 points, but
since our defence is that good n o team has yet profited fully from that
one.
Oh yeah, I still don't now what Eric is earning overhere but aparently the
fired player earned something of about 200.000 US$. But he was a top player
and Eric is a rookie. Anyway, the way he plays and the lack of knowledge of
the plays and his position in them doens't look too good for his chances on
an NBA-spot. Sad but true. Hopefully he can get his act together on the
court, he smiles a lot an is loved with the kids for his dunks and loved by
the ladies for...
