I also read on another message board that Mick is looking at a German 7 footer that is good defensively but a little rough offensively. Apparently they have checked his eligibility and if he is in fact looking at this mystery german i would look for him to sign him if we do not get mcclain. The person that posted that information also posted that apprently crowell will give up his scholarship one way or the other (leave or become a walk on) and that warren has also talked about leaving. The poster also said that Alvin Mitchell is down to UC and VT with his coach pushing hard for VT and his mom pushing hard for UC. Apparently when he came to the WVU game he was rooting pretty hard for UC so we'll see how that pans out. Hopefully this info is accurate as it was posted on another message board and being a frequent there i know the poster to not be someone who fabricates information just to drum up convo.

McClain would be a great (and much needed get). He is considered to be 7'0" so Al is probably right in that he is 6'11".
This is the first kid that I can think of that can pick and choose where he wants to go and may go to UC. By pick and choose I look at the list of teams that want him and they are all over the board. If Mick can get him to Cincinnati then it could provide some momentum and really help out.
His HS coach said that he needs playing time and I think that Cincinnati could provide the most out of any team.

>From what I have heard, read, etc. etc. 6'11" Anthony McClain is a
definite possibility to join the Bearcats next season. UCONN has no
scholarships available the next 2 years, their current team has 8
freshman scholarships and 5 sophomore scholarships on it, talk about
unbalanced recruiting. They will have to have someone leave early for
the NBA (Thabeet?) or convince someone to transfer to have room for any
additions.
