Tom,

Quick question, how does that affect schools like UC that are on the
quarter system and not semesters?

Subject: [UC Basketball] APR Scores For UC (2004-05-06)

13 scholarships (maximum). Each player counts as 4 points. 1 point each
semester he is academically eligible to play. 1 point each semester he
actually returns to play or graduate.

Transfer, lose 1 point. Quit the team, lose 1 point. Quit school, lose
another point.

925 APR score = 92.5% of points that could be earned. That's 48 out of
52 (maximum) points.

UC scored 917 (APR) in 2004 under Huggins. UC 2-year average dropped to
872 in 2005 during year of transition. (See link here
http://web1.ncaa.org/app_data/apr2005/140_2005_apr.pdf for details)

Per Enquirer article, UC 3-year average will be 830 when scores are
released (for 2006) this spring.

So (doing the math) UC was 917 in 2004. 827 in 2005. 746 in 2006. Lots
of transfers, players quitting, academic issues last spring. Tom Gray,
UC fan since 1958
